Azuma Kazuma! [userpic]

Application

August 11th, 2005 (11:08 pm)

Canon:"This story is a serious, biographical ballad of a boy who possesses Solar Hands, Azuma Kazuma, who will create a Japanese bread made by and for the Japanese people which can be presented to the world proudly." Which is only half-true and completely on crack. Azuma Kazuma is the boy who Loves Bread. His goal in life is to create "Japan" (it's a pun, as most things in this series are), a bread distinctive to Japan (and he's already made over fifty kinds in the attempt to do so at the beginning of the series.) We won't even discuss how his bread makes people react. Blessed with extraordinarily warm "Solar" hands, he now works at the Southern Tokyo branch of the bakery chain Pantasia and continues to strive to make a bread that truly expresses the spirit of his country. That said, Azuma Kazuma is an innocent, earnest and cheerful country boy with a surfeit of practical knowledge and a dearth of book learning. He tends to get confused with longer words or terms he hasn't heard before, but his math skills are top-notch and his intuition for baking is not to be underestimated in any circumstance.
(NOTE: This is using canon for immediately after the Monaco Cup [A baking competition with contestants from all over the world in- where else? Monaco.])

Sample Entry:
Hello, everyone! I'm Azuma Kazuma! I'll be counting on you from now on!

(Um, I'm not sure how I got here. There wasn't enough room on the plane back from Monaco and I was in the line for the bathroom when they boarded and... Anyway! I wasn't really sure what they were saying and they put me on a plane while they were looking for someone called Lucy Anna. I hope they found her! It would be terrible to get lost in an airport! I guess they found her because the plane took off (and they gave me food but it still wasn't very good even after what Kuroyan showed me) and there was this nice lady in the seat next to me and she mentioned Lucy Anna so I guess they found her. I'm not sure where I am now but I'll wait for the next plane and maybe I can send a postcard to my sister!)

I found the kitchens here and they're really big! There was a really tired man in here and he was on the floor and moaning. I tried talking to him but all he said was "uuuungh" and his drool was kinda purple so I decided to let him rest until he felt like talking. (I hope his friends find him soon!) There's a few really big ovens in here and I think I saw some flour (even if it was sort of green) in the back behind the sinks! Most of the bread here looks sort of old (it's green, too!) so I think I'll have to start baking right away! I haven't found any yeast yet but I'm sure there's some in one of the cupboards, so I can get started on Japan #72 as soon as I can!

Let's do our best!
